Domains

Overview

A Domain is a logical separation of Customer Accounts, Users, and Resources into a single unit. Multiples of these units can exist within a OpenCloud Zone. Domains usually include multiple Accounts related to each other and a set of Administrator Accounts that have authority over the main Domain and any Sub-Domains created.

OpenCloud allows the configuration of Limits on a Domain basis. With a Domain limit in place, all Users still have their Domain limits. Domain limits aggregate the usage of all Accounts in the Domain as well as all the Accounts in all the she Domains of that Domain. Limits set at the root Domain level apply to the sum of resource usage by the Accounts in all the Domains and sub-Domains below that root Domain.

if a Domain is using 20 CPUs and one of its Sub-Domains is using 10 CPUs, then each of the Domains together can only use 10 more if the set limit is 40 CPUs.

Primary or Secondary Storage Space on this document references the stated size of the Volume and not the actual physical size or the actual consumed if it is thin provisioned. This means that Primary Storage limits represent the entire size of the Volume and not just the used size.
